Slowly turn the engine flywheel to bring the con-
necting rod to bottom dead center (BDC) of its
stroke.
6.
Set the engine down on the flywheel to provide
access to the cover on bottom of the engine hous-
ing.
7.
Remove six machine screws (1), cover (2), and
gasket (3). Discard the gasket.
8.
Using a 13 mm socket, remove the two connect-
ing rod nuts (4), and remove the connecting rod
cap (6) with lower bearing half.
9.
Slowly turn the engine flywheel to bring the con-
necting rod to top dead center (TDC) of its stroke.
