Engine off.

WARNING
If NBC exposure is suspected. all filter
media should be handled by personnel
wearing protective equipment. Consult
your unit NBC Officer or NBC NCO for
appropriate handling or disposal proce-
dures.

Remove two hex nuts (1).
2. Grasping the air cleaner (2) around the center
housing, pull the air cleaner off the studs (3 and
4).
3. Remove the two gaskets (5).
4. If either stud (3 or 4) is bent or damaged, remove
the stud from cylinder head.
1. Remove wing nut (1) and lift off cover (2).

Remove the base ring (5)
2. Lift off the pot (3).

Release the two retaining clips (6). Lift the hous-
ing (7) from top of the cup (8).
3. Lift off the air intake ring (4).
