Compactor set on level ground in protected area.
Driver, 12mm Hex Key w/3/4 sq.-dr.; item 8, Appx F
Engine off.
Snap Ring Plier; item 20, Appx F
V-belt cover and v-belt removed.
Wrench, Torque; item 49, Appx F
General Safety Instructions
Wrench, Torque; item 50, Appx F
Observe all WARNINGS and CAUTIONS

Solvent, Dry Cleaning; item 9, Appx E
1.
Using a 10 mm hex key, insert key through larger
hex opening in clutch center shaft hub and en-
gage key in hex opening of the inner locking plug.
Turn key counterclockwise to loosen the locking
plug.
2.
The clutch may now be turned by hand or using a
12 mm hex key in opening in center shaft hub, in
a counterclockwise direction to remove the clutch
assembly from the engine crankshaft.
1.
Place the clutch assembly on a clean work sur-
face with the pulley side down.
2.
Remove two screws (1) and outer shield (2).
CAUTION
Do not pull on the springs (5) to remove
the brake shoes. Springs will be
stretched and bent rendering them un-
usable.
3.
With a needle nosed pliers, pull the brake
shoes (3) and weights (4) from the assembly.
