Replace damaged or missing retaining clips (6)
on the housing (7).
2.
If stud (10) is loose in housing (7), tighten stud to
the housing. If stud will not tighten, remove stud
and examine thread of both stud and housing. Re-
place either or both parts if threads are damaged.

Position new element (9) into the cup (8), ensur-
ing that the element is centered and seats well in
the cup.
2.
Position the housing (7) over the cup (8) with ele-
ment (9) and secure with the two retaining clips
(6).
3.
If removed install stud (10) in housing (7).
Tighten securely, without forcing threads.
4.
Install base ring (5) on housing (7), engaging
slots on bottom of base ring with cross web of the
housing.
5.
Position intake ring (4) over base ring (5), align-
ing the holes in flange of intake ring with the four
pedestals of the base ring.
Install the pot (3), aligning the four legs with holes

in flange of intake ring (4). Seat the legs fully into
the pedestals of the base ring (5).
7.
Position the cover (2) on the pot (3) and secure
with wing nut (1). Tighten the wing nut sufficiently
to snug the cover to the pot without deforming the
cover.
