b. Carefully release the valve spring lifter, and
remove the valve spring collar (3), valve
spring (4), roto cap (5), valve seal (6) and
washers (7).
c.
Remove exhaust valve (2).

Remove the intake valve (9) as follows:
a.
Using a valve spring lifter, compress the
valve spring (11) and remove the valve spring
retainer (8), halves.
WARNING
Valve springs and collars are under
spring tension and can act as projec-
tiles when released and could cause se-
vere eye Injury. Eye protection Is
required.
b.
Carefully release the valve spring lifter, and
remove the valve spring collar (10), valve
spring (11), valve seal (12) and washers (13)
c.
Remove intake valve (9).
CLEANING
WARNING
P-D-680, Type Ill, Is moderately toxic to
the skin, eyes and respiratory tract;
avoid prolonged exposure. Skin and
eye protection Is required. Good ventila-
tion Is required. Do not use near open
flame or excessive heat. Flash point Is
200 F (93.3 C).

Clean all parts in dry cleaning solvent and dry
thoroughly.
