Section I. LUBRICATION INSTRUCTIONS
3-1. GENERAL
Operator lubrication requirements on the plate com-
pactor are restricted to checking the engine oil level
and adding oil to bring to top full mark on the dipstick.
3-2. DETAILED LUBRICATION INSTRUCTIONS
a.
Operator should check oil level after operation. If
oil level is at or below the bottom mark on dip-
stick, add clean engine lubricating oil as follows:

Wipe around the oil fill plug (1)
c.
Remove the oil fill plug (1) with a 13 mm open
end wrench.

Check oil level with dipstick (2). Oil level must be
at top mark on dipstick. Add oil as necessary to
bring to top mark.
f.
Ensure that the oil fill plug (1) is clean. Install and
tighten the plug firmly to seal gasket.
