NATO SLAVE RECEPTACLE INSTALLATION

WARNING
Make sure battery disconnect switch is in OFF position before replacing NATO slave
receptacle and cables.
Plus and minus symbols are stamped in NATO slave receptacle near battery cable
terminal connectors. Install NATO slave receptacle on bracket so positive terminal
connector faces up and negative terminal connector faces down.
Failure to follow this warning may result in injury or death to personnel or damage to
equipment.
NOTE
Negative cable attaches to bottom of NATO slave receptacle. Positive cable attaches to
top of NATO slave receptacle.
Route and install cables and terminals as noted during removal.
Install outer insulator as noted during removal.
Install tether as noted during removal.
1. Install outer insulator (Figure 22, Item 5), NATO slave receptacle (Figure 22, Item 4), tether (Figure 22,
Item 3), four washers (Figure 22, Item 2), and bolts (Figure 22, Item 1) on bracket (Figure 22, Item 6).
CAUTION
Seat raised lip on inner insulator in hole on bracket before tightening retaining hardware.
Failure to follow this caution may result in damage to insulators.
NOTE
Install inner insulator as noted during removal.
2. Install inner insulator (Figure 22, Item 7), four washers (Figure 22, Item 8), and nuts (Figure 22, Item 9) on
bracket (Figure 22, Item 6).
