1. Turn ignition switch and battery

disconnect switch to OFF position

2. Remove start relay from fuse
panel (Figure 1).
3. Remove flood enable relay from
fuse panel (Figure 1). Install flood
enable relay on start relay
connector on fuse panel.

4. Turn battery disconnect switch and
ignition switch to ON position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
444-3 Starter Motor Relay Voltage
5. At MSD, check for active
Above Normal Becomes Inactive
diagnostic code 444-3 Starter
Replace start relay.
Motor Relay Voltage Above
Proceed to Test Step 4.
Normal (WP 0008).
