Open.
1. Remove jumper wire from terminal
E11 and terminal C12 of start relay
connector (Figure 3).
2. Connect jumper wire between
terminal 24 and terminal 25
of connector W-C8
3. Disconnect connector W-C13
transmission/chassis ECM.
(WP 0540), measure resistance
Replace transmission/chassis ECM
between connector W-C13
(WP 0495).
terminal 36 and terminal 68
Proceed to Test Step 4.
Replace main cab wiring harness
(WP 0505).
Proceed to Test Step 4.
Test Step 4. Verify Malfunction is
Resolved.
1. Ensure all harness connectors are
connected.
2. Ensure start relay and flood enable
relay are installed on fuse panel.
3. Turn battery disconnect switch and
ignition switch to ON position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
4. At MSD, check for active
444-5 Starter Motor Relay Current
Below Normal Becomes Inactive
Troubleshooting complete.

Repeat troubleshooting from the
beginning.
