1. Turn ignition switch and battery

2. Remove start relay from fuse
panel (Figure 4).
3. Remove flood enable relay from
fuse panel (Figure 1). Install flood
enable relay on start relay
connector on fuse panel.

4. Turn battery disconnect switch and
ignition switch to ON position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
444-6 Starter Motor Relay Current
5. At MSD, check for active
Above Normal Becomes Inactive
diagnostic code 444-6 Starter
Replace start relay.
Motor Relay Current Above
Proceed to Test Step 4.
Normal (WP 0008).
144-6 Starter Motor Relay Current
Above Normal Remains Active
Proceed to Test Step 2.
