Compactor set on level ground in a protected area.
Press, Rod, 60mm O.D., Item 23, Appx F
Engine off.
Oil drained.
General Safety Instructions
Observe all WARNINGS and CAUTIONS
REMOVE
1.
Remove the gear cover from the engine housing
Using snap ring plier, remove the retaining

ring (1).

Using arbor press and a 32 mm diameter press-
ing sleeve, press the camshaft (2) out of the ball
bearing (3).
4.
Remove camshaft from inside gear cover and re-
move the preformed packing (4). Discard the pre-
formed packing.
Turn the gear cover over and press the annular

ball bearing (3) from inside the gear cover with ar-
bor press and a 40mm O.D. w/34mm pilot press-
ing rod. Discard the bearing.
6.
If necessary for replacement, drive out the shaft
pin (5) with drive pin punch.
NOTE
Do not remove the camshaft gear from the
camshaft. Notify general support mainte-
nance if the gear requires replacement.
