CRANKCASE GUARD RAISING

WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure
to follow this warning may result in injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
Front crankcase guard weighs approximately 450 lb (204 kg).
Install bolts as noted at removal.
1. Attach sling (Figure 15, Item 7) and chain hoist (Figure 15, Item 6) to crankcase guard
(Figure 15, Item 1).
2. Attach sling (Figure 15, Item 5) to front bumper (Figure 15, Item 4), and attach chain hoist (Figure 15, Item 6) to
sling (Figure 15, Item 5).
3. Support crankcase guard (Figure 15, Item 1) with slings (Figure 15, Item 5 and 7) and chain hoist (Figure 15,
Item 6).Using chain hoist (Figure 15, Item 6), raise crankcase guard (Figure 15, Item 1) into position on
machine.
4. Install 18 bushings (Figure 15, Item 2) and bolts (Figure 15, Item 3) on crankcase guard (Figure 15, Item 1).
5. Remove slings (Figure 15, Item 5 and 7), and chain hoist (Figure 15, Item 6) from front crankcase guard
(Figure 15, Item 1) and front bumper (Figure 15, Item 4).
