CRANKCASE GUARD INSTALLATION CONTINUED
WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure
to follow this warning may result in injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
Crankcase guard weighs approximately 450 lb (204 kg).
7. Position transmission jack (Figure 11, Item 9) under rear of crankcase guard (Figure 11, Item 8).
8. Attach sling (Figure 11, Item 6) and chain hoist to front crankcase guard (Figure 11, Item 7) and front bumper
(Figure 11, Item 5).
9. With assistance, using transmission jack and chain hoist (Figure 11, Item 4), raise crankcase guard
(Figure 11, Items 7 and 8) to machine.
10. Using chain hoist (Figure 11, Item 4), raise or lower crankcase guard (Figure 11, Items 7 and 8) until front and
rear of crankcase guard are level.
11. Install two supports (Figure 11, Item 1), four washers (Figure 11, Item 3), and bolts (Figure 11, Item 2) on
crankcase guard (Figure 11, Items 7 and 8).
12. Remove transmission jack (Figure 11, Item 9) from crankcase guard (Figure 11, Items 7 and 8).
