Repair of the camshaft assembly consists of re-
placement of the camshaft gear (1), or the cam-
shaft (2) itself.

Remove the camshaft gear (1) from camshaft (2),
using three-way bolt-grip set from puller kit.
3.
Remove key (3) from slot in camshaft (2).

If camshaft (2) is reusable, but has slight imper-
fection on bearing surfaces at small diameter
end, remove them with crocus cloth wet with die-
sel fuel oil. Work wet crocus cloth evenly around
circumference of camshaft (2) at small diameter
end until surface is polished smooth.
