Repair of the crankshaft consists of the replace-
ment of the rear main bearing (3) and the crank-
shaft gear (5).
2.
Replace the rear main bearing (3) as follows:
a.
Using snap ring plier, remove the retaining
ring (1) from the seal housing (2).
b.
Using arbor press and a 54 mm diameter
pressing rod press the outer race of rear
main bearing (3) from the seal housing (2).
c.
Using bearing separator from puller kit, pull
the inner race of rear main bearing (3) from
the crankshaft (4).
