1. Mark load cylinder rod (Figure 28, Item 1) at top of load cylinder (Figure 28, Item 3).
2. Start machine, operate engine at low idle (TM 5-3805-296-10).
3. Turn on cushion hitch, allow load cylinder rod to extend as far as possible (TM 5-3805-296-10).
4. Measure distance from paint mark (Figure 28, Item 2) to top of load cylinder (Figure 28, Item 3) record
measurement.
5. Turn off cushion hitch, stop machine (TM 5-3805-296-10).
6. Measurement in step 4 should be 4.6 to 5 in. (117 mm to 127 mm), if measurement is not to specification,
proceed to adjustment.
