REMOVAL CONTINUED
11. Remove cotter pin (Figure 5, Item 6), washer (Figure 5, Item 4) from pin (Figure 5, Item 5). Discard cotter pin.
12. Remove strut mount (Figure 5, Item 8), and locking strut (Figure 5, Item 3) from machine.
13. Remove pin (Figure 5, Item 5) and washer (Figure 5, Item 9) from boss (Figure 5, Item 2).
14. Lower hood (Figure 5, Item 1) to closed position.

Eye protection should be worn when removing spring. Failure to follow this warning may
result in injury to personal.
NOTE
Note spring location to aid in installation.
15. Remove spring (Figure 5, Item 7) from locking strut (Figure 5, Item 3).
