INSTALLATION CONTINUED
WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure
to follow this warning may result in injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
Steering control valve weighs approximately 171 lb (78 kg).
7. Using lifting device and assistance, position appropriate cribbing (Figure 8, Item 6) and steering control valve
(Figure 8, Item 4) on lifting device (Figure 8, Item 8). Secure steering control valve to cribbing and lifting device
with strap (Figure 8, Item 7).
8. Using lifting device (Figure 8, Item 8) and assistance, raise steering control valve (Figure 8, Item 4) to clear
frame bracket (Figure 8, Item 5), and install steering control valve on cab (Figure 8, Item 3).
9. Install three washers (Figure 8, Item 2) and bolts (Figure 8, Item 1) on steering control valve (Figure 8, Item 4).
10. Remove strap (Figure 8, Item 7), cribbing (Figure 8, Item 6), and lifting device (Figure 8, Item 8) from steering
control valve (Figure 8, Item 4).
