NOTE
Align splines on ring gear assembly with splines on front axle housing.
WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure
to follow this warning may result in injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
Ring gear assembly weighs 187 lb (85 kg).
6. Using assistance and lifting device, install ring gear assembly (Figure 19, Item 2) on tire and wheel
(Figure 19, Item 3).
7. Using assistance, remove lifting bracket (Figure 19, Item 1) and lifting device from ring gear assembly
(Figure 19, Item 2).
8. Using assistance, remove lifting device from lifting bracket (Figure 19, Item 1).
