7. Install two lifting links (Figure 16, Item 2), and bolts (Figure 16, Item 3) on hub (Figure 16, Item 4). Using
assistance, attach suitable chain and lifting device to lifting links.
WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure
to follow this warning may result in injury or death to personnel.
CAUTION
Ring gear must be supported by cribbing during hub installation. Failure to follow this
caution may result in damage to equipment.
NOTE
Hub weighs 97 lb (44 kg).
8. Using assistance and lifting device, install hub (Figure 16, Item 4) on ring gear (Figure 16, Item 1).
9. Using assistance, remove lifting device from lifting links (Figure 16, Item 2).
10. Remove two bolts (Figure 16, Item 3) and lifting links (Figure 16, Item 2) from hub (Figure 16, Item 4). Discard
bolts.
