2. Install two lifting links (Figure 12, Item 2) and bolts (Figure 12, Item 3) on hub (Figure 12, Item 4). Using
assistance, attach suitable chain and lifting device to lifting links.
WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure
to follow this warning may result in injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
Hub weighs 97 lb (44 kg).
3. Using assistance and lifting device, remove hub (Figure 12, Item 4) from ring gear (Figure 12, Item 1). Lower
hub onto flat surface.
4. Using assistance, remove lifting device from lifting links (Figure 12, Item 2).
5. Remove two bolts (Figure 12, Item 3) and lifting links (Figure 12, Item 2) from hub (Figure 12, Item 4).
