2. Using assistance and using lifting device, lift ring gear assembly (Figure 18, Item 1) and position on side.
3. Remove sling and lifting device from ring gear assembly.
4. Using assistance, attach lifting device to ring gear lifting bracket (Figure 18, Item 2).
WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure
to follow this warning may result in injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
Lifting bracket weighs 130 lb (59 kg).
5. Attach ring gear lifting bracket (Figure 18, Item 2) to ring gear assembly (Figure 18, Item 1).
