BRAKE SHOE INSTALLATION CONTINUED
WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Failure to follow this warning may result in injury or death to
personnel.
NOTE
Brake shoe weighs 62 lb (28 kg).
Align flat on retaining pin with lockbolt holes on spindle.
Support lower brake shoe while installing retaining pin.
2. Using assistance, install lower brake shoe (Figure 15, Item 3) and retaining pin (Figure 15, Item 1) on front axle
housing (Figure 15, Item 2).
