BRAKE SHOE INSTALLATION CONTINUED
WARNING
Use caution when positioning brake shoes. Fingers may get pinched. Failure to follow this
warning may result in injury to personnel.
NOTE
Retaining ring and slack adjuster will need to be repositioned on camshaft during
installation.
Install retaining ring and washers as noted during removal.
9. Using assistance, pry open brake shoes (Figure 19, Item 2) and install washer (Figure 19, Item 7), camshaft
(Figure 19, Item 3), washer (Figure 19, Item 6), retaining ring (Figure 19, Item 5), and slack adjuster
(Figure 19, Item 4) on front axle housing (Figure 19, Item 1).
