Left Front Turn Signal Does
Not Operate
Always inspect harness connectors that are involved in the circuit. Poor
connections can often be the cause of a problem in an electrical circuit.
Verify that all connections in the circuit are clean and secure and that all
connections are in good condition. If a problem with the connection is
found, correct the problem and verify that this malfunction or diagnostic
code is active before performing this procedure.
Perform open or short-circuit test at each harness connection to identify
the correct harness to replace.
Tag all wiring harnesses to aid in installation.
Perform this test only if condition is active.
Test Step 1. Verify Condition.
No Proceed to Test Step 2.

Yes Proceed to Test Step 8.
Horn, and Backup Alarm Fail To
Test Step 2. Test Voltage to Signal
Lamp.
1. Turn ignition switch battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
2. Disconnect connector L-C4
(WP 0012, Figure 199) from
left front signal lamp
(WP 0012, Figure 198).
3. Turn battery disconnect switch to
ON position (TM 5-3805-296-10).
4. Turn mode switch on military light
switch to STOP LIGHT position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
5. Turn left turn signal ON
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
Voltage Pulses Between 7 and 25 V
(WP 0540), test for voltage
Turn left turn signal OFF
between connector L-C4
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
terminal A and terminal B
Turn mode switch on military light
(WP 0012, Figure 199).
switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
Turn disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
Replace left front signal lamp
(WP 0383).
Proceed to Test Step 13.
