Machine Turns When
Differential Lock Is Engaged
Always inspect harness connectors that are involved in the circuit. Poor
connections can often be the cause of a problem in an electrical circuit.
Verify that all connections in the circuit are clean and secure and that all
connections are in good condition. If a problem with the connection is
found, correct the problem and verify that this malfunction or diagnostic
code is active before performing this procedure.
Tag all wiring harnesses to aid in installation.
Perform this test only if condition is active.
Test Step 1. Verify Operation of
Braking System.
Verify braking system is operating
Braking System Operating Properly
properly (TM 5-3805-296-10).
Proceed to Test Step 2.
Braking System Not Operating
Properly Diagnose and repair braking
system malfunction (WP 0005).
Proceed to Test Step 19.
Test Step 2. Check for Active Codes.
1. Turn battery disconnect switch and
ignition switch to ON position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
2. At MSD, check for active
Diagnostic Code(s) Active
diagnostic code(s) (WP 0008).
Diagnose and repair active diagnostic
code(s) (WP 0005).
Proceed to Test Step 19.
No Diagnostic Code(s) Active
Proceed to Test Step 3.
Test Step 3. Inspect Differential Lock
Air Supply Components.
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
2. Lower left frame access plate
(WP 0376).
3. Inspect left and right differential
Left and Right Switch OK Proceed
lock switch for damage (WP 0513
