1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
2. Remove four bolts
(Figure 1, Item 1), washers
(Figure 1, Item 2), bushings
(Figure 1, Item 3), and splash
shield (Figure 1, Item 4) from
machine.

3. Disconnect connector CL-C10
(WP 0012, Figure 32)
from connector CM-C11
(WP 0012, Figure 31).
4. Turn battery disconnect switch and
ignition switch to ON position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).

5. At MSD, check for active
Voltage Above Normal Remains
diagnostic code 262-3 Five-Volt
Active Proceed to Test Step 2.
Sensor DC Supply Voltage Above

Voltage Above Normal Becomes
Inactive Proceed to Test Step 3.
