4-30. FUEL TANK MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS Continued
WARNING
Diesel fuel is combustible. Do not per-
form this procedure near fire, flame, or
sparks. Injury or death to personnel
could result.
1.
With a wash pan in place to receive fuel, loosen
clamp (1) at fuel filter and pull fuel line (2) from
nipple on filter. Drain fuel into the wash pan. Rein-
stall fuel line to nipple on filter and tighten clamp
(1).
2.
Loosen clamp (3) and remove fuel line (2) from
nipple on bottom of fuel tank.
3.
Remove hollow screw (4), copper gaskets (5) to
disconnect fuel line (6) from return port on fuel
tank.
