CRANKCASE GUARD REMOVAL CONTINUED
WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure
to follow this warning may result in injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
Crankcase guard weighs approximately 450 lb (204 kg).
2. Attach sling (Figure 4, Item 6) and chain hoist (Figure 4, Item 5) to crankcase guard (Figure 4, Item 1) and front
bumper (Figure 4, Item 4). Support crankcase guard (Figure 4, Item 1) with sling (Figure 4, Item 6) and chain
hoist (Figure 4, Item 5).
3. Remove 18 bolts (Figure 4, Item 3) and bushings (Figure 4, Item 2) from crankcase guard (Figure 4, Item 1).
