CRANKCASE PLATE LOWERING

WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure
to follow this warning may result in injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
Crankcase plate weighs approximately 130 lb (59 kg).
1. Position transmission jack (Figure 2, Item 4) under crankcase plate (Figure 2, Item 1). Support
crankcase plate (Figure 2, Item 1) with transmission jack (Figure 2, Item 4).
2. Remove six bolts (Figure 2, Item 3) and bushings (Figure 2, Item 2) from crankcase plate (Figure 2, Item 1).
3. Using transmission jack (Figure 2, Item 4), lower crankcase plate (Figure 2, Item 1) allowing crankcase plate
(Figure 2, Item 1) to swing down on hangers (Figure 2, Item 5).
4. Remove transmission jack (Figure 2, Item 4) from crankcase plate (Figure 2, Item 1).
