NOTE
Lockring compressor is supplied with four spacers. The medium length spacer is used in
this procedure.
29. Install spacer (Figure 7, Item 2) and handle (Figure 7, Item 1) on threaded rod (Figure 7, Item 3).

WARNING
Ensure extension legs do not slide off edge of flange while applying pressure with lockring
compressor. If legs begin to slide, remove pressure and reposition legs. If legs slide while
lockring compressor is under pressure tool will become dislodged from wheel. Failure to
follow this warning may result in injury to personnel.
CAUTION
Handle should rotate with minimal effort. If handle becomes hard to rotate, tap wheel
flange with a hammer and try rotating handle. If handle is still difficult to rotate, check that
lockring compressor is installed properly on tire/wheel assembly. Failure to follow this
caution may result in damage to equipment.
