WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure
to follow this warning may result in injury or death to personnel.
CAUTION
Install each battery as noted during removal. Failure to follow this caution may result in
equipment damage.
NOTE
Battery weighs 55 lb (25 kg).
Install cable as noted during removal.
6. Using lifting straps (Figure 8, Item 5) and assistance, install four batteries (Figure 8, Items 2, 7, 4, and 6) on
machine.
7. Position cable (Figure 8, Item 1) and close right engine door (Figure 8, Item 3).
8. Connect cable (Figure 8, Item 1) to battery (Figure 8, Item 2) and battery (Figure 8, Item 7).
9. Tighten nut (Figure 8, Item 9) on terminal (Figure 8, Item 8) and position cover (Figure 8, Item 10) on terminal.
10. Repeat step 9 for terminal underneath cover (Figure 8, Item 11).
11. Open right engine door (Figure 8, Item 3).
