NOTE
Ensure alignment tool and gear are seated into flywheel and flywheel housing before
tightening bolts. If the alignment is not properly set, the bearing housing will not install on
the engine.
5. Position disc alignment tool (Figure 15, Item 1) in gear (Figure 15, Item 2) and flywheel housing
(Figure 15, Item 3). Blades of alignment tool should rest on inside edge of flywheel housing.
6. Evenly install 24 washers (Figure 15, Item 4) and new bolts (Figure 15, Item 5) on retainer (Figure 15, Item 6).
Tighten bolts to 41 lb-ft (56 Nm).
7. Remove disc alignment tool (Figure 15, Item 1) and gear (Figure 15, Item 2) from flywheel housing
(Figure 15, Item 3).
