ENGINE OIL COOLER BYPASS REMOVAL CONTINUED
WARNING
Wear eye protection when removing spring. Spring under tension may disconnect with
tool and become a projectile. Failure to follow this warning may result in injury to
personnel.
NOTE
There will be spring tension on the cap.
7. Remove two bolts (Figure 7, Item 7), washer (Figure 7, Item 6), cap (Figure 7, Item 5), gasket (Figure 7,
Item 4), spring (Figure 7, Item 3), and plunger (Figure 7, Item 2) from oil cooler bypass manifold (Figure 7,
Item 1). Discard gasket.
