WARNING
DO NOT perform fuel system checks, inspections, or maintenance while smoking or near
fire, flames, or sparks. Fuel may ignite.
Allow engine to cool off before performing maintenance on fuel filter. Hot metal parts can
cause severe burns. Wear eye, hand, and skin protection when working with heated parts.
Wear fuel-resistant gloves and eye protection when handling fuels. If exposed to fuel,
promptly wash exposed skin and change fuel-soaked clothing.
When servicing this equipment, performing maintenance, or disposing of materials such
as fuel, consult your unit/local hazardous waste disposal center or safety office for local
regulatory guidance.
Failure to follow these warnings may result in damage to equipment, injury or death to
personnel.
1. Remove rocker arm assemblies (WP 0184) from injector(s) being removed.
NOTE
All fuel injectors removed in same manner. One fuel injector shown.
Tag and mark wiring harness connectors and note wiring harness routing to aid in
installation.
2. Loosen two nuts (Figure 2, Item 3), and remove cap (Figure 2, Item 4) from fuel injector (Figure 2, Item 1).
3. Remove engine injector wiring harness connector (Figure 2, Item 2) from fuel injector (Figure 2, Item 1).
