5. Position two boots aside
(Figure 2, Item 1).
NOTE
Note battery voltage for comparison testing.
6. Using digital multimeter
Voltage 18 to 25 V Proceed to step 7.
(WP 0540), test for voltage
Voltage Less Than 18 V Replace
between battery positive terminal
battery crossover cables (WP 0307).
(Figure 2, Item 10) and battery
Proceed to Test Step 27.

7. Turn battery disconnect switch to
ON position (TM 5-3805-296-10).
8. Using digital multimeter
Voltage Within One Volt of Battery
(WP 0540), test for voltage
Voltage (Previously Noted) Turn
between battery positive terminal
battery disconnect switch to OFF
(Figure 2, Item 10) and ground
position (TM 5-3805-296-10).
(Figure 2, Item 7).
Position all boots on cables to cover
terminals.
Proceed to Test Step 5.
Voltage Not Within One Volt of
Battery Voltage (Previously Noted)
Proceed to step 9.
