1. Ensure all harness connectors are

2. Turn battery disconnect switch to
ON position, start engine, depress
brake pedal, and move gear shift
lever into each gear position
and then back to neutral
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
3. At MSD, check for active
702-8 Transmission Gear Lever
Selector Sensor (Switch) Abnormal
diagnostic codes (WP 0008).
Signal Becomes Inactive Proceed to
step 4.

Signal Remains Active Replace
transmission/chassis ECM (WP 0495).
Proceed to Test Step 11.
4. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
5. Install right trim panels on ROPS
(WP 0494).
6. Troubleshooting complete.

Harness for High Resistance or

1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
2. Connect jumper wire between
terminal 1 and terminal 2
of connector CG-C13
(WP 0012, Figure 304).
3. Disconnect connector CG-C1
(WP 0012, Figure 283)
from connector W-C8
(WP 0012, Figure 282).
(WP 0540), measure resistance
Replace main cab wiring harness
between connector CG-C1
(WP 0505).
