7-7. CAMSHAFT AND VALVE TAPPETS REPLACEMENT.

Removal.
(1)
Insert two dowels (1) through the push rod
holes and into the top of each tappet (2)
securely.
NOTE
When properly installed, the
dowels can each be used to pull
the tappets up and should not be
able to be pulled out without
considerable effort.
(2)
Pull two tappets (2) up and wrap a rubber
band around the top of two dowel rods (1).
This will prevent the tappets from dropping
down.
(3)
Repeat Step (1) and (2) for remaining six
tappets.
