7-3. CYLINDER BLOCK REPAIR AND DE-GLAZING INSTRUCTIONS (CONT).
a.
Removal.
(1)
Drive camshaft expansion plug (1) from
cylinder block (2). Discard expansion plug.
(2)
Remove expansion plugs (3) from cylinder
block (2). Discard expansion plugs.
b.
Cleaning/Inspection.
Clean the cylinder bores
immediately after de-glazing.

Scrape gasket material and sealant off
cylinder block surfaces.
