Bar engine and locate TDC of compression
stroke for Cylinder No. 1.

The letter “A” on the gear must be aligned
with the “O” mark on the camshaft gear.

Remove two screws (4), timing pin
assembly (5) and gasket (6) from gear
housing (7). Discard gasket.
NOTE
If timing pin assembly tip is
broken perform Step (8).

Remove tip (8) from camshaft gear (9).
