4-15. OIL FILTER CAP MAINTENANCE

Compactor set on level ground in protected area.
Engine off
Materials Parts
Gasket (1)
1. Using 13 mm open end wrench, remove oil filter
cap (1).
2. Remove gasket (2) from cap (1).
3. Inspect cap (1) for damage that would prevent it
from tightening securely in oil filter neck.
4. Install new gasket (2) in cap (1).
5. Install cap (1) in oil filter neck. Tighten only
enough to prevent entry of dust and dirt.
NOTE
Follow on tasks include: Return compactor
to service.
