RIGHT FENDER BRACKET REMOVAL

WARNING
Parking brake must be released prior to beginning the following procedure. Failure to
follow this warning may result in injury or death to personnel or damage to equipment.
1. Chock wheels (WP 0454).
2. Start engine, release parking brake (TM 5-3805-296-10).
3. Stop engine (TM 5-3805-296-10).
4. Loosen lock bolt (Figure 7, Item 8) and rotate worm shaft (Figure 7, Item 9) until pin (Figure 7, Item 10) is
loose.
5. Remove cotter pin (Figure 7, Item 11) and pin (Figure 7, Item 10) from slack adjuster (Figure 7, Item 7) and
yoke (Figure 7, Item 6) and rotate slack adjuster away from yoke. Discard cotter pin.
6. Support brake actuator (Figure 7, Item 5) and loosen two nuts (Figure 7, Item 4) on brake actuator.
7. Position brake actuator (Figure 7, Item 5) away from bracket (Figure 7, Item 1).
WARNING
Ensure that brake actuator yoke is clear of machine and personnel and apply parking
brake to release tension in brake actuator. Failure to follow this warning may result in
injury or death to personnel or damage to equipment.
8. Start engine, apply parking brake (TM 5-3805-296-10).
9. Stop engine (TM 5-3805-296-10).
10. Remove three locknuts (Figure 7, Item 3), washers (Figure 7, Item 2), and bracket (Figure 7, Item 1) from
machine. Discard locknuts.
