REMOVAL CONTINUED
WARNING
Ensure fork attachment does not contact jackstands. Failure to follow this warning may
result in injury or death to personnel.
55. Position fork attachment (Figure 13, Item 4) under tire (Figure 13, Item 2).
56. Turn off machine with fork attachment.
NOTE
Route chain around sidewall of tire above rim to prevent rim from interfering with chain
while removing tire.
57. Attach suitable chain (Figure 13, Item 1) to fork attachment (Figure 13, Item 4) and tire (Figure 13, Item 2).
WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device.
Do not allow personnel to enter dismounted tire.
Failure to follow this warning may result in injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
Tire weighs 1,764 lb (800 kg).
58. Using machine with fork attachment (Figure 13, Item 4), remove tire (Figure 13, Item 2) from wheel
(Figure 13, Item 3) and secure tire in safe area.
