REMOVAL CONTINUED
51. Using assistance, position fork attachment forks (Figure 12, Item 3) under tire (Figure 12, Item 2).
52. Turn off machine with fork attachment.
NOTE
Route chain around side wall of tire above rim to prevent rim from interfering with chain
while removing tire.
53. Attach suitable chain (Figure 12, Item 4) to forklift and tire (Figure 12, Item 2).
WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. DO NOT
allow personnel to enter dismounted tire. Failure to follow this warning may result in injury
or death to personnel.
NOTE
Tire weighs 1,764 lb (800 kg).
54. Using assistance and suitable machine with fork attachment, remove tire (Figure 12, Item 2) from wheel
(Figure 12, Item 1) and secure tire in a safe area.
