NATO SLAVE RECEPTACLE CABLE REMOVAL CONTINUED
WARNING
Make sure battery disconnect switch is in OFF position before replacing NATO slave
receptacle and cables.
Plus and minus symbols are stamped in NATO slave receptacle near battery cable
terminal connectors. Install NATO slave receptacle on bracket so positive terminal
connector faces up and negative terminal connector faces down.
Failure to follow this warning may result in injury or death to personnel or damage to
equipment.
NOTE
Negative cable attaches on bottom of NATO slave receptacle. Positive cable attaches on
top of NATO slave receptacle.
Tag and mark all cables and terminals to aid in installation.
Note cable routing to aid in installation.
14. Position cover (Figure 10, Item 1) aside and remove bolt (Figure 10, Item 2), lockwasher (Figure 10, Item 6),
and solargizer terminal (Figure 10, Item 3) from top of NATO slave receptacle (Figure 10, Item 5). Discard
lockwasher.
NOTE
Perform step 15 only if machine is equipped with arctic start aid.
Tag and mark all cables to aid in installation.
15. Position positive arctic start aid battery cable (Figure 10, Item 4) aside.
