3. Install adaptor (Figure 7, Item 3)
on front air brake relay
(Figure 7, Item 1) and tighten tube
nut (Figure 7, Item 2).
4. Connect quick disconnect hose
(Figure 7, Item 5) to valved nipple
(Figure 7, Item 4).
5. Turn battery disconnect switch to
ON position and start engine
(TM 5-3805-296-10). Idle engine
for 20 minutes or until air pressure
gauge reads normal operating
pressure (TM 5-3805-296-10).
NOTE
System air pressure must be maintained during test. Outlet air pressure
will drop as system air pressure drops.
6. Monitor and record air pressure
Outlet Air Pressure Does Not Fall

Below 95 psi (655 kPa) Proceed to

Loosen tube nut (Figure 7, Item 2) and
remove adaptor (Figure 7, Item 3) from
front air brake relay (Figure 7, Item 1).
Remove valved nipple (Figure 7, Item 4)
from adaptor (Figure 7, Item 3).
Replace front air brake relay
(WP 0329).
Proceed to Test Step 12.
7. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
8. Disconnect quick disconnect hose
(Figure 7, Item 5) from valved
nipple (Figure 7, Item 4).
9. Loosen tube nut (Figure 7, Item 2)
and remove adaptor
(Figure 7, Item 3) from front air
brake relay (Figure 7, Item 1).
