Air Pressure Falls Below 100 psi
(690 kPa) Turn ignition switch and
battery disconnect switch to OFF
position (TM 5-3805-296-10).
Close valve (Figure 2, Item 1).
Disconnect quick disconnect hose
(Figure 1, Item 5) from quick disconnect
coupling half (Figure 1, Item 1).
Remove quick disconnect coupling half
(Figure 1, Item 1) from air drain
connection (Figure 1, Item 2).
(WP 0261).
Proceed to Test Step 12.
Governor Adjustment.
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
2. Remove cover (Figure 3, Item 4)
from governor (Figure 3, Item 1).
3. Loosen locknut (Figure 3, Item 2).
NOTE
Turn adjustment screw clockwise to lower pressure and counterclockwise
to raise pressure. One rotation of adjustment screw changes pressure
approximately 20 psi (140 kPa).
4. Turn adjustment screw
(Figure 3, Item 3) as necessary to
adjust air pressure to 125 5 psi
(862 34 kPa).
5. Tighten locknut (Figure 3, Item 2).
6. Install cover (Figure 3, Item 4) on
governor (Figure 3, Item 1).
