Test Step 10. Test Fuse Panel Wiring
1283-08 Ejector Lever
Harness for High Resistance or
Position Sensor Abnormal
Open.
Signal Continued
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
2. Connect jumper wire between
terminal 1 and terminal 2
of connector CG-C15
(WP 0012, Figure 301).
3. Disconnect connector CG-C1
(WP 0012, Figure 283)
from connector W-C8
(WP 0012, Figure 282).
4. Using digital multimeter
Resistance 5.0 Ohms or Less
(WP 0540), measure resistance
Replace main cab wiring harness
between connector CG-C1
(WP 0505).
terminal 1 and terminal 67
Proceed to Test Step 11.
(WP 0012, Figure 283).
Resistance Greater Than 5.0 Ohms
Replace fuse panel wiring harness
(WP 0515).
Proceed to Test Step 11.
Test Step 11. Verify Malfunction is
Resolved.
1. Ensure all harness connectors are
connected.
2. Turn battery disconnect switch to
ON position and start engine
(TM 5-3805-296-10). Operate
Joystick (ejector control) through
full range of motion
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
3. At MSD, check for active
1283-8 Ejector Lever Position Sensor
diagnostic codes (WP 0008).
Abnormal Signal Becomes Inactive
Troubleshooting complete. Proceed to
step 4.
1283-8 Ejector Lever Position Sensor
Abnormal Signal Remains Active
Repeat troubleshooting from the
beginning.
4. Install right trim panels on ROPS
(WP 0494).
