EVENT CODE SET CONDITION
Engine ECM Detects Engine Oil Pressure Problem.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Engine Oil Level Low.
Engine Oil Pump.
Engine Oil Pressure Sensor.
Engine.
Test Step 1. Verify Engine Oil is at
Proper Level.
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
2. Check oil level in engine
Oil Level Low - Add oil as needed
(WP 0192).
(WP 0192).
Proceed to Test Step 4.
Oil Level OK - Proceed to Test Step 2.
Test Step 2. Test Oil Pressure.
Test actual engine oil pressure with a
Oil Pressure Low - Replace engine oil
calibrated test gauge (WP 0164).
pump (WP 0198). Perform engine oil
pressure test again (WP 0164). If oil
pressure remains low, replace engine
(WP 0189) (WP 0190).
Proceed to Test Step 4.
Oil Pressure OK - Proceed to Test
Step 3.
Test Step 3. Check for Active
Diagnostic Codes.
1. Turn battery disconnect switch to
ON position and start engine
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
2. At MSD, check for active
Diagnostic Code(s) Active
diagnostic code(s) (WP 0008).
Diagnose and repair active diagnostic
code(s) (WP 0005).
Proceed to Test Step 4.
No Active Diagnostic Code(s)
Replace engine oil pressure sensor
(WP 0187).
Proceed to Test Step 4.
