Sensor Abnormal
1. Connect connector W-C30
Frequency, Pulse Width, or
Period Continued
(WP 0012, Figure 81) to tractor
throttle sensor connector
(WP 0012, Figure 80).
2. Connect connector W-C16
(WP 0012, Figure 87)
to connector CL-C3
(WP 0012, Figure 86).
3. Connect connector CL-C1
(WP 0012, Figure 45) to engine
ECM.
4. Turn battery disconnect switch to
ON position and start engine, then
operate governor (throttle) control
pedal (TM 5-3805-296-10).
5. At MSD, check for active
91-8 Throttle Position Sensor
diagnostic code 91-8 Throttle
Abnormal Frequency, Pulse Width,
Position Sensor Abnormal
or Period Becomes Inactive
Frequency, Pulse Width, or Period
Troubleshooting complete. Install left
frame access plate (WP 0376).
91-8 Throttle Position Sensor
Abnormal Frequency, Pulse Width,
or Period Remains Active Replace
governor control pedal assembly
(WP 0526).
Proceed to Test Step 7.
Test Step 7. Verify Malfunction is
Resolved.
1. Ensure all harness connectors are
connected.
2. Turn battery disconnect switch to
ON position, then start engine and
operate governor (throttle) control
pedal (TM 5-3805-296-10).
